The Telling Press Meltdown Over Trump Just Got Much Dumber

    By Bonchie | Redstate.com

If you’ve been paying attention to the news, you’re probably aware that we are in perhaps the dumbest, most absurd outrage cycle since Donald Trump came down the golden escalator. What led to this new level of consternation among the chattering class? Did another indictment come down? Did he shout a racist epithet while shooting someone on Fifth Avenue?

No, it was nothing like that. Instead, and you may want to sit down for this, Trump visited a McDonald’s.

I know it sounds mundane, but rest assured it was an incredibly awful “stunt” the likes of which the political world has never seen. Fire-fighting journalists have spent every waking second since he dunked some fries and handed out a few Happy Meals to alert the public that the scene was “staged” and a show of intense manipulation.

Newsweek even went so far as to try to get the McDonald’s location he appeared at canceled. No, I’m not kidding. They dug up some health code violations to show just how evil this specific restaurant is.

CNN Has Brief Moment of Journalistic Integrity, Reports on Tim Walz’s Failure As Minnesota Governor

    By Mike Miller – RedState.com

My first two thoughts when I saw this report: Who’d a thunk it? Why is CNN suddenly throwing Minnesota governor and Kamala Harris’s running mate Tim Walz under the bus?

We’re talking way under the bus.

The “CNN Investigates” report blisters Walz from beginning to end, starting with the headline: “As fraud scandals erupt in Minnesota on Gov. Tim Walz’s watch, accountability is in short supply.”

Beginning with a damning state audit, CNN reported (emphasis, mine):

One state audit found that bonus checks intended for frontline workers during the pandemic were handed out to undeserving recipients. Another criticized a Minnesota state agency for failing to ensure there were no conflicts of interest in taxpayer-funded mental health and addiction programs. A third detailed lax oversight of a program to feed needy kids which federal prosecutors say resulted in the nation’s largest Covid-era fraud scheme.

Moreover, Minnesota’s nonpartisan auditor, Judy Randall, told CNN that some state agencies working under Walz’s administration, when confronted with “these and other troubling examples of waste, fraud, and abuse,” repeatedly minimized or dismissed the allegations. How “Tim Walz” of them.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suspends campaign, endorses Trump

By Michael Gryboski, Mainline Church Editor Friday, August 23, 2024

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. suspended his independent presidential campaign and endorsed former President Donald Trump but remains on the ballot of states that aren’t considered tossups as he doesn’t want to help Democrats.

At an announcement made Friday afternoon, the son of former U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy said that he was suspending his campaign but was not officially dropping out.

He praised the efforts of his campaign volunteers, saying that they “pulled off a miracle” by getting so many signatures to advance his campaign on state ballots.

Kennedy accused the Democratic Party of “dismantling” democracy, citing as examples Vice President Kamala Harris getting the nomination without getting any primary votes and “lawfare” efforts against himself and Republican presidential hopeful Trump.

Supreme Court stops Biden’s Title IX rules allowing boys in girls’ sports

By Michael Gryboski – The Christian Post

The United States Supreme Court has refused to allow the Biden administration’s rules requiring Title IX antidiscrimination law to include gender identity and sexual orientation to take effect. The rules would have required schools receiving public funding to allow boys who identify as trans to enter girls’ bathrooms, locker rooms and athletics.

In a 5-4 decision late Friday, the high court denied an application for a partial stay in order to allow the Education Department rules to take effect, upholding multiple lower court decisions blocking enforcement of the new rule.

According to the majority opinion, “the burden is on the Government as applicant to show, among other things, a likelihood of success on its severability argument and that the equities favor a stay.”

Biden Drops Out Of Presidential Race

    By Ryan Saavedra – Jul 21, 2024 DailyWire.com

President Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he will not seek reelection in November, bowing to pressure from high-ranking Democrats and media figures who fear he will be unable to defeat former President Donald Trump.

In a letter addressed to the public, Biden said that while it was his intention to run for reelection, “I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”

Biden has faced pressure to bow out since his disastrous debate performance in June, which even his allies say raised serious concerns about his ability to discharge the duty of the office. Biden’s decision to drop out of the race came after CNN reported that Biden had softened his stance toward the idea after resisting calls to even consider it.

Ten Commandments would interfere with public schools’ mission: Brainwashing your children

By Don Feder – Friday, June 14, 2024 – Washington Times

    OPINION:

Holy Moses. Louisiana is about to become the first state to require posting the Ten Commandments in its schools. Understandably, opposition has swiftly mobilized.

The measure, which has passed both houses of the state Legislature, requires schools to prominently display the Decalogue on a poster no smaller than 11 inches by 14 inches.

The American Civil Liberties Union, Americans United for the Separation of Church and State and the Southern Policy Law Center are frantic.

“Our public schools are not Sunday schools,” they squawked in a joint statement, as if the sight of the Ten Commandments will somehow cause innocent children to grow up to be rabbis or nuns.

The Ten Commandments and the worldview they represent are woven into the fabric of our republic. The Declaration of Independence acknowledges that rights come from the Creator.
